U.S.-CREST is a private, non-profit public research institute incorporated in 1989 specializing in transatlantic defense and aerospace policy.

U.S.-CREST’s mission is to promote public understanding of the far reaching interactions between international relations, defense, trade, science and technology.

U.S.-CREST’s central goal is to provide the United States with perspective and analysis of the European viewpoint and vice-versa.

U.S.-CREST
’s interests lie above all in fostering a broad and constructive transatlantic dialogue addressing economic, political, security and aerospace issues of common concern to the United States and Europe.

U.S.- CREST’s research and study programs cover:


U.S.-CREST seeks to interact with other think tanks involved in transatlantic defense and security both in Washington and in Europe such as the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the Atlantic Council, the "Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique" in France and the Royal United Services Institute in the United-Kingdom.

U.S.-CREST is funded by tax-deductible contributions from both U.S. and European foundations, corporations and individuals. It also competes for individual study contracts from American and French governments and the European Commission.
